Bred originally as a working guard and farm dog, the Giant Schnauzer combines strength, confidence, and protectiveness with a deep affection for its family.

All prospective owners must complete our Puppy Application. We review each application carefully to ensure the best match between puppy and home.Submitting an application does not guarantee a puppy and more questions may be asked after the application is submitted!

A: To reserve a puppy, a non-refundable deposit of $500 CAD is required once your application has been approved. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.Puppies are reserved in the order that deposits are received. During the reservation process, you will provide your first, second, and third choice for male or female puppies. If your preferred puppy or gender is not available in the current litter, your deposit may be transferred to a future litter if agreed upon by Stone Giant Schnauzers. If you would like to transfer your deposit to another litter due to life circumstances that is okay! It is valid for 1 year.Please note: Deposits are non-refundable if you decide not to proceed with your puppy purchase or change your mind after placing a reservation.

Most of our puppies are placed as pet-only homes on a no-breeding agreement. Breeding rights may be considered for approved, experienced programs only and at our discretion.

A: Yes! Once your reservation deposit has been received, we invite families to visit one time to meet the parents (when available) and choose their puppy. To help protect the health and well-being of our litter, we do not offer multiple visits. We provide regular photos, videos, and updates so you can watch your puppy grow until pickup day.

A: Ear cropping is not performed by Stone Giant Schnauzers. If desired, ear cropping is the responsibility and expense of the new owner.Tail docking is determined on a litter-by-litter basis. We consider the preferences of our reserved families, and the majority preference will determine whether the litter's tails are docked or left natural.Natural is always perferred.

A: We may be able to do flight nanny delivery services in Western Canada and we can offering other shipping methods within Canada as well at the buyers expense. Whenever possible, in-person pickup is preferred. This gives you the opportunity to meet us, ask any final questions, and helps ensure a smooth transition for your new puppy.

A: All puppy buyers are required to sign the following agreements before their puppy goes home:Health Guarantee – Outlines the health coverage and responsibilities of both the breeder and buyer.Non-Breeding Agreement – Companion puppies are sold without breeding rights unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.Return-to-Breeder Agreement – If you are ever unable to keep your dog, it must be returned to Stone Giant Schnauzers. We are committed to every puppy we produce for its lifetime.

A:Giant Schnauzers are considered to be a hypoallergenic breed due to their low-shedding breed and tend to produce less dander than many shedding breeds, which makes them a better option for some allergy-sensitive individuals. In our household a few members suffer from allergies and the Giants do not affect them.However, no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic. Allergy responses vary by person, so we always recommend that families with allergies spend time with a Giant Schnauzer or a hypoallergenic breed in person and speaking with your doctor before committing.
